MEET KENNETH OMORUYI

A Proven Record

of Public Service

Kenneth Omoruyi is a distinguished accountant whose journey began in the fast-paced oil and gas sector of Lagos, Nigeria. Driven by ambition and a passion for excellence, he later immigrated to the United States to further his education and career.

He earned a master’s degree in Business Taxation from the University of Southern California and went on to secure both his CPA and Enrolled Agent licenses. Kenneth then joined Schlumberger—the world’s largest oilfield services company—where he served as a senior tax and financial analyst. His impact was undeniable: he received multiple “Be Outstanding” awards for leading innovative process improvements and championing leadership development across the organization.

In 2017, Kenneth and his wife welcomed triplet daughters—a life-changing moment that inspired him to build something of his own. He launched CKO CPAs & Advisors, a forward-thinking CPA firm, and founded EnrolledAgent.com, an online platform designed to help individuals seamlessly find and connect with qualified Enrolled Agents for expert tax support.

Beyond his work as an entrepreneur, Kenneth serves as an adjunct professor of accounting at Lone Star College. He also holds a Public Leadership Credential from the Harvard Kennedy School and has been widely recognized in his field. His honors include the Top 40 Under 40 in the Accounting Profession, the AICPA Black CPA 40 Under 40 Award, and the AICPA Outstanding Young CPA Award.

Most recently, Kenneth was appointed to the Texas State Board of Public Accountancy by Governor Greg Abbott—an acknowledgment of his leadership, expertise, and dedication to elevating the accounting profession.
